Hello,

Scammers are at it again! This email isn’t intended to cause any alarms. This is a precautionary email. The other day a client of ours received an email that looked very suspicious. The email appeared to be from our office and it contained a link asking the client to click on it. Fortunately, the client was aware of scammers and their pesky little tricks, so she called our office to ask if we sent the email.

The email wasn’t sent from our office, but it appeared so. They had the exact same spelling as Mary and Dani’s emails, but the domain name was misspelled. Instead of “cbsmolalla.net” it was spelled “cbsmollala.net”. Molalla was spelled incorrectly. We contacted our IT company to bring it to their attention and they confirmed that our server and client information was not compromised.

Please be cautious about opening any links sent via email or text. We try our best to let clients know when we are sending any information. If you ever receive a suspicious email or text with a link from our office, we advise you not to open it unless you have talked to one of us and are expecting one.

We aren’t trying to alarm you with anything we just want you to be aware of scammers. We hope you are doing well and look forward to seeing you this tax season.
